We are excited to have received a package of badges and stickers to help us promote the mag and to send out with larger orders. The stickers were a collaborative effort with Ben Steers creating the skull and crossbones shape and Boneshaker adding the chain link….
We will have some of these at the upcoming launches in Bristol and London (expect a post soon with proper details) along with some t-shirts of the same design.
Our new friends at Skylight Books, an independent bookstore located in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles have just posted a lovely blog about Boneshaker on their site, read it here . Saying such nice things as ‘we have as yet to see such a lovingly put together tribute to bicycle culture as this’. It also sounds like their customers like the mag too, with half of the amount we sent over having already sold…
We have recently had quite a flurry of interest from the US, with stockists now confirmed in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Portland and Chicago. Exciting times….
The Frome Cobble Wobble is an individually timed bicycle hillclimb sprint up St. Catherine’s Hill in Frome, Somerset, UK. Starting at the bottom of Stony Street the course takes a sharp turn as it joins St.Catherine’s Hill before finishing when the cobbles run out at the top of the hill 179 yards later. With categories for all ages and abilities there will be plenty of winners and some ace prizes worth pedaling for. The top 20 riders will qualify for the “Charge Bikes’ King of the Cobbles”, a show down between the Cobble Wobble’s fastest and some top athletes to crown the overall winner – the King of the Cobbles 2010. But it’s not all about being fast, it’s about getting involved and having a bit of fun – why not ride a silly bike or take part in fancy dress ?!?! Check out the Cobble Wobble website to find out more and enter online.
